One of our most ambitious goals in 2009-2010 was the organizing and establishment of an annual “Greek Night” on campus. Despite encountering a number of obstacles, in April 2010 we were proud to host the first “Greek Night” at Johns Hopkins -- an event that attracted over 300 students. The evening included free and authentic Greek cuisine, which was provided by the local Zorba’s Grill Restaurant in Greektown.
Additionally, we provided Greek music, a talented dance performance performed by Ourania Abbas, a Johns Hopkins student and member of the HSA, as well as Greek dancing. Following the success of “Greek Night”, the Johns Hopkins Newsletter published an article praising the event, as well as the progress of the Hellenic Students Association in general.
